Creating with a Passion
Our pre-K students have a lot to say about what they've learned so far this year. Turn on the volume to listen to what they have to say!
Collage Trees
Students sorted different monochromatic triangle shapes in sizes ranging from smallest to biggest to create these cute, teetering holiday trees. They added final embellishments with sequins for ornaments and, of course, a bright star!
Handprint Animals
After learning about personified animals in art, kinder had fun exploring with paint by creating handprints. Then Mrs. Laird had fun turning their prints into digital media animals!
Pre- K Dot Day Mural
Dots and Spots
We learned about feature artists like Yayoi Kusama, celebrated dot day, and explored different ways to turn circles into objects!
Continuous Lines
Pre - K loved practicing coloring in the space of these interesting continuous line patterns we made!
Red Poppies
In honor of Veteran's Day, we learned about the red poppy being a symbol for remembrance and hope. We painted beautiful texture of red paint on flowers and sprinkled them with torn paper seeds!
Lines and Shapes
We explored shapes and had fun making interesting and unique marks on paper with paint!
Fingerprint Trees
Students practiced fine motor skills by putting fingerprints on straight lines using monochromatic shades of green to create these adorable and simplistic holiday trees!
Scribble Ornaments
We had fun making wild and wacky scribbles all over our papers, making interesting texture and lines! To finish the piece, they were cut into circle shapes for these beautiful and simplistic hanging ornaments.
Festive Sweater Designs
We had a contest creating Christmas sweater designs. Here are some of the amazing patterns! Students are anxiously awaiting to see the results. Hover over the boxes to reveal the artwork. Our top 3 designs are....drumroll please....
